Does Maurten Drink Mix contain electrolytes?
Yes, some. One serving of Drink Mix 160 contains 525 mg of salt. For sessions under about four hours, Maurten recommends focusing on carbohydrates and fluid. If you need more sodium, take it separately. Don't add electrolyte tablets or powder to the bottle, as it can interfere with the hydrogel.
What is the difference between Drink Mix 160 and Drink Mix 320?
Drink Mix 160 gives 40 g of carbohydrates (160 kcal) per 500 ml of water. Drink Mix 320 gives 80 g (320 kcal) in the same 500 ml, for longer or harder sessions where you need more energy.
